2024 Conditions of Entry

SIZE OF ENTRIES
All Sections except Photography & Sculpture
The total length shall not be more than two (2) metres being two (2) adjacent sides, including frame.
Note – a 10% margin may be allowable at Committee’s discretion.
Diptychs/ Triptych/ Quadtychs must include all works/components plus framing to comply with the above.

PHOTOGRAPHY
All conditions of entry apply except for size & special condition following. The total length of two (2) adjacent sides, including frame, shall not be more than one (1) metre. Works should not be manipulated or altered. Tonal adjustments are acceptable.

SCULPTURES
Must not exceed: 100cm wide x 100cm high x 100cm deep, 32kg maximum weight. Sculptures must be freestanding and cannot be hung.

YOUTH AWARD
Marjory Baker Memorial Youth Award – 16 to 25 years (as of the date of the Opening Night) – All the ‘Conditions of Entry’ apply.
Youth entrants may enter one or two artworks in the Section/s of their choice, in addition these entries will be eligible for the Youth Award.  Special Conditions: Proof of age – entrants are required to present proof of age eg birth certificate, student card, driver’s licence, passport or any other form of identification on presentation of artworks.

PRESENTATION (not including Sculpture)
Artworks must be dry, framed (except wide-edged stretched canvases which must be stapled to the back of the frame and not to the sides), ready to hang by cord (using D rings or cord professionally stapled to the back of the frame). Screw eyes will not be accepted.
Entries which are not compliant on the day will need to be amended at the artist’s expense.
Artworks must be CLEARLY MARKED ON THE BACK with – NAME, TITLE OF WORK & SALE PRICE

COMMISSION
Every work must be for sale. A commission of 25% of the sale price will be retained by the Committee on sales. Where the artist is registered for GST, the sale price MUST include GST.

JUDGING
The decision of the Judges is final.

COPYRIGHT
The artists will allow their works to be reproduced by print and electronic media during the advertising and promotion of the current Exhibition, any future Exhibitions and for archival uses. The artists warrant that they are the copyright owner of all submitted artworks and that their artworks do not infringe the moral or legal rights of third parties. The Organisers have the right to supply contact details of the Artist for promotional purposes.

INSURANCE COVER
Exhibitors are responsible for maintaining their own insurance cover. The Committee will exercise reasonable care with all works submitted but will not be responsible for the loss, theft or damage to any such works while in its custody.

DELIVERY OF ARTWORKS – Camden Civic Centre, Oxley Street, Camden (opp. Woolworths)

Eligible work will be accepted by the Committee at the Camden Civic Centre, Oxley Street, Camden on Saturday 4th May 2024 from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. Exhibitors must arrange their own delivery of works and/or employ their own courier where necessary.

COLLECTION OF ARTWORKS –
Friday 17th from 4.30pm-6pm & Saturday 18th May 2024 from 9am – 2pm.
Sold and unsold works will be available for collection from Camden Civic Centre, Oxley Street, Camden (opp. Woolworths).
Receipt and proof of identity must be presented to collect artwork.
Please note: A $25 late pick up fee will apply. Entries not collected within 2 weeks of Exhibition closure may be disposed of at the discretion of the Committee. Return of Entries MUST be consigned through your nominated courier.

ALL ARTWORKS MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED ON THE BACK WITH
NAME, TITLE OF WORK & SALE PRICE.
